:Department of Environmental Design: Landscape Design Course
Kyoto University of Art & Design is a private university in Sakyo-ku, Kyoto-city, Japan. Founded in 1977 as a junior college and became a four-year University in 1991. Faculty of Art and Design reorganized into 10 academic departments with 29 courses of study. There are Three Courses in Department of Environment Design. Landscape Design course, Architectural Design course and Interior Design course. In Landscape Design course, we are studying on Japanese Gardens, Modern Landscape design, City planning.

The Research Center for Japanese Garden Art and Historical Heritage is associated with the Kyoto University of Art and Design. The aim of the Japanese Garden section of the Center is to integrate various researches regarding the Japanese garden: history, design, aesthetics, archeology, and traditional gardening techniques.
